Oh, October has been abysmal! Since C started preschool I'm struggling to find the time to enter much. I have so much extra to do so wins just aren't coming. We are currently in half term here and I feel like I've been entering lots more so hopefully November will be a better month. Without further ado, here's what I won in October.
1) Muslin blanket/swaddle (RRP £28.95) from noahandnomi
I didn't use muslins or swaddle C when he was a baby but I swore by them with E. I entered this competition in the hopes of gifting it a friend if I won. She doesn't know the gender yet so I'm hoping she'll be happy with the pattern.
2) Me To You Bears (RRP £28.00) from Matalan
I won't add a photo of these as I'm wanting to gift them but they were made to celebrate 21 years of Me To You! Trust me, they're adorable and fluffy.
3) Sofia the First DVD (RRP £8.99) from Disney Junior
I've written before about Disney Junior's Tea Party every Tuesday at 11am on their Facebook page. I've won a couple of times before so I was surprised to win again. Every time I've won, I've added a relevant photograph to my comment so that might be worth trying!
4) Marvel Super Hero Mashers figure (RRP £11.99) from 365games
C is a huge superhero fan so I was over the moon to win this. I wasn't sure which figure I'd won so when Agent Venom arrived I was pleased because it was one he'd recently learned about but doesn't already own.
5) Storks merchandise from Gransnet
This was a simple Twitter win. The giveaway ended at 9am and I think I entered 15 minutes before it closed. I've heard of others winning that way too so it's worth a try.
6) Years supply of Persil from Eurospar NI
This was actually a runner up prize (the main prize was a £250 Mothercare voucher) but it's still pretty decent! It was only open to NI residents so a nice local competition.
7) Vintage bakeware (RRP £150) from Prestige
This was my biggie of the month! With Great British Bake Off on our screens, there were lots of related giveaways around. I actually forgot about this so when I received the notification I expected it to be a muffin tray or something. I couldn't believe it!
8) Sonic the Hedgehog DVD and figure (RRP £9.99) from Daddy Daydream
It feels like forever since I've had a blog win and it's a great one for C. He's actually not familar with Sonic yet but I know he'll love him as much as I do.
9) Paw Patrol pinafore (RRP £15.00) from sewbabyso
I'm not really sure if I can count this as a win but I'm going to. sewbabyso had a raffle running to win an item of your choice made in Paw Patrol fabric. I'd never taken part in a raffle before but I'd bought from her before so I went for it. I paid £3 for 3 tickets and ended up winning! It's absolutely gorgeous and E loves it.
10) Pizza shades from Chicago Town
Chris and I grabbed a box of the Chicago Town microwave pizzas late one night to have for dinner. When I was putting the box in recycling, I noticed that they had a competition running to win sunglasses with little pizzas on the side. I giggled about how silly they were but entered the code printed inside the box for a laugh and won! Luckily C and E are obsessed with glasses and sunglasses so no doubt they will fight over them.
11) Bow advent (RRP £72.00) from mummymakes_bowtique
My last win of the month was an amazing one. I'm sure if you're a regular reader, you'll know how much E loves her hair bows. This is a little advent of 24 bows with the Christmas Eve bow personalised with her name. I am so excited to receive it!
So October 2016 I won 11 prizes worth a total of £324.92! I love comparing back to the same month in previous years so in October 2015 it was 22 prizes worth £450.20 and 10 prizes worth £471 in October 2014. Although I was complaining I wasn't doing so well this month, it's not really that bad in comparison!
