Siblings: October 2014

Well, a month has passed since C gained a baby sister and he is coming on leaps and bounds. I've caught him stroking her head and saying 'aww!', beeping her nose, giving her kisses and giving  her her dummy. He even shouted into the kitchen as his daddy to hurry up with her bottle as she was crying. I knew he'd be a great big brother but he has surprised me at how good. He is so patient with her and I am so proud of him.

I won't paint it like our lives are all fun and games though. E has reflux which is causing her to be extra whingy and clingy and C is well and truly in the terrible twos. We have frequent tantrums and screaming from him. We've also experienced a little jealousy. He can be playing happily by himself then when we need to deal with the baby for a second, he is straight over demanding our attention. I think we're coping with it but I do feel a little guilty sometimes that he now has to share us. Hopefully he'll come to terms with that soon.
